A regular when I started watching in 1957. The last of that era if I am correct. Had a great chat with him and Howard Radford at the Alfie Biggs book launch a number of years ago. He had an excellent innings, 98 if I am correct, may he rest in peace.

Before my time, he's definitely a name that I recognise from his association with Rovers. Condolences to his family, RIP Josser.

Had the pleasure of meeting Josser and his old pal Bill Roost on several occasions, most notably the SC's 50th anniversary of the 4-0 v the Busby Babes and a flashback for the fans evening covering the 50's and 60's.
Bill and Josser had the attendees in stitches with their tales of smoking behind the changing rooms, playing with an invisible ball and how almost singlehandedly Bill won the war!
A very humble, brave and dignified man, but also very witty who often had a gleam in his eye!
God bless you Josser, RIP.

Josser and Bill were an amazingly funny double act, both now lost to us.
RIP Josser, a true legend in every sense.

Lovely, lovely man, will anyone now at the club apart from Clare in the ticket office know who he was ? Which is no different than any other football club given that he last played for Rovers in the 60's, why not just praise the club for breaking the sad new and putting up the lengthy obituary earlier today?

Very sad to hear this. Watched a few games with Josser in West Stand. A really warm and fascinating bloke and a great servant for the football club. RIP.

Lovely, lovely man, will anyone now at the club apart from Clare in the ticket office know who he was ? In what world do you think it’s acceptable to use an obituary thread for a dig at the club? Josser was a lovely man but you, your not wired right man.
