Yeah fair point, in my defence I knew he played the full season in the promotion year with Blackpool but you’re right. I think Ward is probably the only one in recent memory we’ve ‘won’ though who’s managed to stay consistently injury free? Bodin did very well and stayed injury free when we took a punt on him after a couple of ACL injuries. Did your season ticket turn up Eric ?

The Teds submitted an offer for Oxford U Captain Cameron Brannagan. Hate to say it but that would be a heck of a signing, way too good for L1. if I was Oxford I would bite their hand off, at the 1.2M that they are potentially bidding. Been poor in recent times, but if they want to replace Scott with Brannagan then be my guest! Seems the teds are doing a fair amount of business with Oxford. Seems like they are becoming a type of feeder club to them. On another topic, i see they are not happy with their young player , Alex Scott, deciding to go to Bournemouth and many are asking why he would do that when they are the bigger club 😂. 23 million though and for a players that did not exactly get that much time on the pitch.

As Coventry have sold both their strikers & as AC was allegedly on their radar, I wonder if they will come calling this week?

Scott is 19-year-old and been first choice for the past two seasons and recently awarded Championship Young Player of the Season, not sure he could have played much more in that time. It must be a bit frustrating for the Sh1!heads, because they have always been a bigger club, but then back in the day I would have considered Rovers a potentially bigger club too. That is football, things move on. What a goldmine the non-league's are for clubs looking to pick up a bargain or two and grow an asset. This summer former non-league players Scott and Iliman Ndiaye gone for about a combined £40m and bids of about £40m alone for ex Maidenhead man Max Kilman. Last season City handed Wycombe their record fee received for a player when former Woodford Town man Anis Mehmeti joined them. The non-league market is one we should be all over looking to find and develop the next Barry Hayles (record sale), Jason Roberts (second highest record sale), Nigel Martyn (first British million pound goalkeeper), Nathan Ellington, Gary Penrice, Paul Randall, Geoff Bradford etc etc etc

Pirate, we got Jason Roberts from Wolves, so not our scouting of lower league.

Pirate, we got Jason Roberts from Wolves, so not our scouting of lower league. I'd say that highlights even more of our poor record scouting the lower leagues. Less examples than Pirate first gave.

Obviously there are the links with Lansdown and Brian Tinnion then struck up a relationship with the Guernsey manager. They more recently also signed Ben Acey and Tim Ap Sion from Guernsey.
