Free Agents Connor Wickham, Steven Fletcher, Lyle Taylor, Chris Martin, Gary Madine, Lewis Grabban Wickham, Martin, Grabban all scored goals in the league above I'd definately take a look at them if I was joey. Wickham scored some outstanding goals in a poor Forest Green team last season. 9 goals in 20 apps including half way line goals (!!!), right foot, left foot, header.    Steven Fletcher showed he can still finish and contribute with 10 goals and 6 assists in 39 appearances in a poor Dundee United team. |

My tip Jordan Rhodes has done well at Blackpool. My other tip was Chris Martin who Rovers eventually signed. We would have had a good chance of promotion with those 2 options up front together and no transfer fee. Will be interesting to see if we sign JCH. |

Looking back at this see that nobody signed Connor Wickham? Not sure why but suspect he’s injured again you would have thought FGR would have had a punt again.
Lyle Taylor also touted recently signed but played less than Josh Grant so guess that’s another bullet dodged

This season is dead. 50 points should be our aim now then look to recruit / promote from within , looking forward to the summer window where we can recruit as necessary for a real go at it next season.

We're only halfway through. We need a forward and a goalie, and by the sounds of it a few backroom staff more importantly. See where we are at the end of Jan, hopefully we'll be in a better place to move forward. |
