A bit unusual to be into the last few days of the transfer window where we have already, effectively, filled up our loan quota. I know we can sign more if we want, but then leaving any of them out of the matchday squad seems unlikely. Usually we have 1 or 2 slots open for any late opportunities. But we'll probably be focusing on permanents this time, hopefully they've got some other options for if JCH doesn't happen. Other experienced L1 goalscorers might be available if we cant get JCH. James Collins and Jack Marriott to name a couple

It's definitely a different squad to the one that we had last season. Hopefully the upcoming months prove that it's a stronger squad too. If you give a manager a top 6 budget then you expect to be around the top 6 so Joey now needs to prove that he can get these men playing because the board aren't going to accept the 1 point per game that we're averaging for long.

Cheltenham Town set to sign a loan striker from PL club according to local reporter. Rules them out of a move for Lofty, you’d think.

Exeter had a bid turned down for Harry Cardwell at Southend. Looks like most of their signings have hit the ground running so far.

Love how people are putting pressure on to get results JB because of his "big budget". Not sure it really is that big when you look at many other sides in the division. We dont spend a lot and our wages might be slightly higher than expected but lets face it there are much bigger fish in our league and we have some very wealthy owners.
Basically the expectation is to improve on last season and keep moving forward. We will never be up there until the ground is improved.
JB has built an exciting team that plays really good football - the results will come. Just cast your minds back to BG, GC and even DC in his last days they were all light years away from this, you all have your own opinions you want but 2 of those 3 are out of work which i think says enough.

You are right albeit both in a lower league than with us. ironically, the only one out of work is the only one to have any success since leaving us

So if we don't get our first choice striker, who realistically could we go after ....?
We have literally declared to the EFL we have north of £500k to spend - Potentially a slice more if AC does move as I think he might.
I'm not really sure who is available on a permanent with two days to go -
Supplementary question as well ... If AC goes and we don't replace with a striker is this still the best window we have ever had ?

But we spent money on Loft Macca Connolly Taylor 3 of which were not in squad last week and the other was on the bench. Are there many clubs who can afford to not select their biggest fee signings in recent seasons? Expect are wage bill is greater than last season. What is the wealth of our owners, that is something we do not know.

The likes of Wycombe and Oxford have also spend a reasonable amount of money this window, I sense our wage budget is probably around top 10/12 rather than top 6/8. As far as transfer fees I can't really understand the logic of paying fees for players then choosing to pick loan players over them so they never develop.

What is the wealth of our owners, that is something we do not know. Well you’d think Wael has wealth given what he’s pumped in recently. Those players could be missing for many reasons, next you’ll be saying paying money for players guarantees them a place in the team I’d also add that we don’t actually know how much has been paid

Former Wycombe striker Uche Ikpeazu has now left Turkish side Konyaspor and is a free agent after only joining the club last summer.... A very good option for us.....

Loft close to sealing a move away, apparently club is in L1. Due in for medical today.
