Spend three hours pre match helping lost away and perhaps new fans?
On matchday, we will meet at The Memorial Stadium at 12pm (meeting place to be confirmed) where you’ll be quickly briefed before heading to your area of The Memorial Stadium for 12:30pm.
You’ll be in position until kick-off to welcome people to the stadium and be open to answering any questions and providing help to anyone who needs it.
If you have any issues, or things you’re unsure of, you’ll be able to contact our Marketing Executive, who will be on call to assist you.
Who is going to volunteer for this ?
Topper maybe

To be fair, don't the SC volunteers already do this?

What’s wrong in simply saying, “if you can help then let the SC know”. Makes you sound like a right tit Mike.

Is that why the sarcasm as not a SC idea? 🤷♂️ Sounds like a good initiative to me, I’m sure there are some who would love to help, and save some money/get a ticket that otherwise couldn’t, without needing to be part of the SC crew, as it was in years past

No one has a sense of humour thought everyone took the Michael from Topper Just for the record I supplied aa a volunteer did it for best part of four decades contributing my free time to the award winning matchday programme during Gordon Bennett and Keith Brookman eras. By the way BRSC are already short handed to assist on match days to sale 50/50 tickets & programmes They are also sfter ned committee members

I've asked the club if they need volunteers for evening games. 12 o'clock is too early on a Saturday for me but evenings would suit me.
Seems an easy option to help the club.

Someone told me Bristol is famous for apathy when asked to help. If people put the effort in to promoting their cause, help is usually forthcoming. As seen with Charlotte’s Christmas Hamper appeal, and she’s already galvanising people for this year’s effort.

The flip side is we have lots who talk the talk and criticize, but do nothing. Maybe it is just me getting older but 30-40 odd years ago when I helped out a little bit the whole atmosphere was different. I suppose at Twerton it was a case of really thinking the club would cease to exist if we didn't do something. Hopefully a few younger fans can put themselves out to help the club and fellow fans by volunteering for this scheme.
