Not as excited as the rest of you seem to be as last time he was here he showed small glimpses of talent but didn’t really deliver. Hoping this time his head is sorted and he hits the ground running .

I don't think we should get carried away. He has a lot of potential but flattered to deceive in his first spell with us, his end product wasn't there and looking at his numbers with Barnsley last season, he still needs to improve in that area.
I'm not against signing him either though.

Knew it - cracking news. Quality player, huge potential. For all those who slag off Joey’s man management, this is a guy who responded! Ha. Good point. Kind of puts to bed anyone bringing that one up as a downside to Barton! Still being brought up on Twitter as "not the right way to treat somebody with mental health problems" - we have fans who are expert psychologists as well as top football managers!  I'm ecstatic with this signing - really liked him when he was here before. |

Great news, certainly looks like we learnt from last season that we were both short on quality & experience to seriously mount a challenge & they’re starting to put that right for the new season
Hopefully the clubs admin will have something up their sleeve for another unveiling of a new signing Monday.

I guess they'd sooner the other option, JB said nothing and LT returned to Barnsley before being released this summer and then finished up at a local non league side? |
