Anyone else suspect he has just changed his plea to "guilty" for both counts and took the fine... knowing he has a contract with a football club willing to look past his off-field issues anyway... and also knowing that the full detail of the charges won't now be in the public domain?

The suggestion on the Exeter forum is that he plead guilty to both charges.

Really? Where did you get that information from? The court heard that the trial will be shown CCTV from the area at the time of the incident.
Brown’s defence team said he will claim he acted 'in response to a racist comment made towards him’. He was granted unconditional bail and the trial will take place at Exeter Magistrates' Court in July.
I said earlier in the, If he was racially abused, that is obviously not okay and if they did they should get their punishment too, but doesn't give Brown the right to go off and allegedly assault anyone. Will be interesting to see what any CCTV shows and if he was with anyone. Not being black I obviously can't know how being racially abused affects said person, but I'd like to think if a couple of gobby women started on me, I would probably try and walk on by, but lets see what the circumstances are and what any injuries are given we have one admission of one particular charge I think it is impossible for those of us who are in the majority to understand how somebody from a minority group feels about verbal abuse, especially as they will be experiencing it on a fairly regular basis - violence is not the answer, however, sometimes the straw breaks the camel's back. I've heard my Dad being abused for being Irish, during the IRA bombing years, although, luckily, this was fairly short-lived, but it was not a good experience.

I presume that he will have done whatever his legal representative advised.

Will hergametoo now disassociate themselves from BRFC? Let’s not make it about them straight away! Club and player are the ones the spotlight needs to be on. HGT can comment if and when they want to

This was not any kind of domestic abuse. Its a spat outside a niteclub, thousands of people have done it, does it make it worse that a female was involved? I've seen very nasty incidents from both genders late at night in Bristol. Equality works both ways.

If there's CCTV evidence of him committing an act he couldn't have exactly pleaded not guilty. The case is about the act, not the mitigating circumstances, although they may have been influential in the judges decision. We've all made bad decisions, especially when pushed and certainly his consumption of alcohol didn't help, hence receiving help from the PFA.

Will hergametoo now disassociate themselves from BRFC? Sounds like you’ve had that post waiting in your drafts for weeks. Mighty odd go to comment if ever you’ve seen it.

Not defending him but think people are overlooking the part where she has pulled his hair after he'd spat but before he slaps her.
He doesn't deserve to be kicked out of football for the offence committed so we move on and let him rehabilitate. If it happens again it's game over for him.

That sounds a lot like you’re defending him to be fair 😂😂
