Honestly, the drama and reaction this incident has caused seems out of proportion to the actual event, imho.

HGT Stepping away from the club means not attending games on comps or free tickets?
Interested to see how they react on twitter to the news.

As I said, here the facts first before we sign him, the owner said re Barton at the time that anyone found guilty of assault would be sacked, what has changed?
The CCTV doesn’t lie, I’ve done Jury Service, I am sure many others have on this forum, he was found guilty of hitting a women and spitting in someone’s face is vile.
I am not sure where this puts Adam Tutton now, he resigned as we know from the carnival for not even a crime in court 👍

Not defending him but think people are overlooking the part where she has pulled his hair after he'd spat but before he slaps her. He doesn't deserve to be kicked out of football for the offence committed so we move on and let him rehabilitate. If it happens again it's game over for him. That sounds a lot like you’re defending him to be fair 😂😂 Someone has to give some balance to the debate. The accusers are overlooking her assaulting him.

I always try and think of both sides of incidents alot of people would have him doing a 10 stretch before the facts were known. Hopefully the lad now has his head down and gives us a 20 goal campaign.

Come on mate, a girl pulls your hair so you whack her? What kind of defence is that. You grab her arm and remove her from doing it at best. WHy would you spit at ANYONE anyway? Its the lowest and most disgusting form of initial attack.

Suggest you listen to the recent podcast before making comments like this Aye, especially given the founders have had season tickets for as long as I can be bothered to mention. Irony being I can imagine it’s actually their critics that have been privy to comps before and/or were those scamming the club by using duplicate tickets etc… What people have against brand new young fans being treated to their first ever match on the house, fully beyond me.

This was not any kind of domestic abuse. Its a spat outside a niteclub, thousands of people have done it, does it make it worse that a female was involved? I've seen very nasty incidents from both genders late at night in Bristol. Equality works both ways. Equality is slapping a woman about, is it? OMG.

What kind of bloke spits at someone on a night out, mind? This whole thing is playground stuff. He spits at her, she retaliates by pulling his hair, he slaps her a couple of times. Embarrassing.

You are correct here. Tickets for games aren’t what should be in question at all. The question I would have is if the fact that they seem to be invited to invitation only award ceremonies makes it more difficult for them to approach this on a balanced angle, the lines may have been blurred between professional partnership and being mates. Not a criticism btw, just saying I can see how it makes it harder for them and may be something worth considering in the future.

Plenty of chavy woman assaulting men in any major town and city on Friday and Saturday nights (seen it countless times).
They know the majority of men won't retaliate.

The photos that were shown of the assault are still burned into my brain today, which is why I have such a low opinion of men that hit women voluntarily. How anyone could defend a man who’s pleaded guilty, because CCTV had him absolutely bang to rights is beyond me.
