It’s become a regular annual post but this season things feel so different. I’m optimistic and hopeful that this season we might just raise the roof on our ambitions.
The team have returned to the training ground super fit and Joey seems pretty energised about the look and feel around the club these days. A new winning culture is developing. Those that have supported Rovers for years will know how precious this feeling is. So many are hopeful, including the squad for a season where our dreams match the reality of achievement.
Joey Barton has built a winning mentality around our club. Our style of play is energetic, exciting and full of expectation. Joey is aiming at promotion this year. Interesting times ahead.
Where do you think we will end up at the end of this season?

Ground-Breaking Goal - Champions
With our mentality, anything is possible. Can we dream? Is our team good enough to mix it with the big boys?
Stretching Goal - Automatics
Our manager sets high standards and has said we wants to create a team with a winning mentality. The result against Melksham gives us hope. This team could achieve automatics.
Realistic Goal - Promotion through play offs
This has to be a realistic goal. It would be exciting end to the season. A trip to Wembley is what we enjoy.
Security Goal - Play offs.
This could happen. For some this would be steady progress. We have a winning mentality now so will have high standards in our dressing room. I feel expectation is high and this finish would be disappointing for many.
Outside Play offs
This would been seen as a failure by Joey and the team. I don’t expect this but could be a stepping stone to promotion the following year.
Where do you think we will end up at end of this season?
For me, I’m hopeful that we will always be around the play offs and then anything can happen as we all know. I think we might surprise a few. We are at 40-1 on Betfair for Rovers to win league outright. Good odds - worth a shout for sure.
Where will we finish? Be good to get a feel from this group.
