Within an hour of Bristol Cardiff Newport Hereford Cheltenham FGR Swindon Reading Yeovil Can't see the problem. Our geographical location has been brought up as an issue by different managers at different times for different reasons - it has clearly been a problem in the past getting loan players in (especially in January), as well as backroom staff.... ...that in turn means we are probably paying a premium for those players who are not already based locally (ie the majority). Ipswich, Norwich, Plymouth, Newcastle, Sunderland and all the teams in Wales must have had similar issues over the years? We don't seem to have had problems in the last couple of season's getting in decent loan players?

Why have Rovers not done better ?
See south stand and fruit market threads and a fair few others for some of the reasons.
Negativity. Self sabotage. Lack of desire. In fighting. Lack of self belief.
Nothing to do with other activities available.
As long as rovers are doing better than City or vice versus job done. If we forgot about City and set our rival accordingly by the season we might achieve more. For example set our rivalry this year with Portsmouth . We are going to beat them and finish above them in the league.
