Coventry City Swedish born striker Viktor Gyokeres has completed his expected transfer to Portuguese side Sporting Lisbon.
Gyokeres has moved on a five-year deal for an undisclosed eight-figure fee, a record for an outgoing Coventry player which apparently is somerhing like £20m.
With this money in their bank I am wondering if Mark Robins will now proceed with the purchase of Aaron Collins who he and many other Championship clubs have watched last season? They could offer Godden aa part of the deal to Barton?

They have already signed Ellis Simms from Everton as the replacement and are currently looking at Sam Surridge.
They could revisit it should Gustavo Hamer leave but he’s not really in Collins mould.

As good as Collins has been for us, I feel like if Coventry have money to spend, they'll be looking for a striker with a proven record at Championship level at the least. They were one game from the Premier League last season. I suppose they might look at someone like Collins for depth? Would he want to go and sit on the bench though? I guess that depends on the wages offered! As for Godden. He's got a pretty good record of around 1 in 3 in The Championship for Cov. I don't think they'll want to let him go but would love to see him at the Rovers! Not sure we can afford his wages though? Unless maybe Marquis and Loft were moved on?

Collins is 24 and perfect for championship football Godden at the end of his career would be a fantastic signing as would have been Alfie May.
