Leeds Utd payed a reported £4 m for Kemal Roofe (age 23) after he helped Oxford get promotion from league 2 (same season as we were promoted).Officially reported as undisclosed though.

Someone will have much better knowledge than me of league one transfer fees so I'm hoping someone has the answer? What's the record fee for a league one player over 24 who had no experience higher than League One? Ivan Toney? Unless you count 2 PL substitute appearances totaling about 5 mins.

AC will be going nowhere this summer He'll be off if somebody offers us enough money, we've no idea if anybody is going to make an offer or not. If we were to sell or AC wanted to leave it won’t be until January at least and that’s if we are showing no signs of challenging or capable of challenging for promotion.

Why would it be January at least if somebody came in with an offer which matched the club's valuation and AC showed a willingness to leave do you really think the club would say do you mind hanging on to January? AC has hardly done anything since January to warrant the club turning down a decent offer.

Cheers for the list Pirate. The issue is that it doesn't look like there are many players in similar situations to Collins. Most players on the list seem to be either younger or had experience of already having played in higher leagues. Looking at the list makes it seem like the 5million some are quoting is probably too high, but somewhere closer to 2 seems more realistic. If you then take out whatever Taylor is worth to Stoke, I'm guessing we end up somewhere around 750k + Taylor?

We do not need to sell, so why accept less than our valuation JB says it would take £4m

AC has hardly done anything since January to warrant the club turning down a decent offer. Because AC has no intention of leaving and the club will not sell. There is a genuine belief they are going to give it a go this season and AC is seen as key to this. Nobody is going to offer the obscene amount of money it will take to change this

We’d accept £2.5m I think right now. Especially if Taylor was part of the deal. Bringing in brown and Thomas would mean he wouldn’t be as missed, and we’d have money to spend on an out and out no9
Agree it won’t happen in this window tho.
