Surprised no one has mentioned this yet with all you naysayers out there Fun day announced 29th July Thanks for that, I hadn't seen it announced. So it is alongside the friendly against Chesterfield: Rovers face Chesterfield at The Memorial Stadium in the final pre-season friendly on Saturday 29th July (kick-off 3pm).
As well as the fixture, fans will be able to enjoy our Family Fun Day, including the chance to meet the players and get their autographs following the game against our National League visitors.
There will be a host of entertainment on offer from 12pm as well, including music in the FanZone, fair rides, face-painting and much more. The Club Shop will also be open from 12pm onwards.
Tickets can be purchased HERE - £2 from each adult and concession ticket will be donated to support the Community Trust.

Agree last years was poor but this year unlike last the Community Trust have been heavily involved and there’s live bands, fairground rides, face painting, food, meet and greet the players and then a friendly…. So much more organised and much more on offer |

So much more organised and much more on offer Really hope that does prove to be the case as I went last year and it really was awful! Took my then two year old and 4 year old nephew and it was a complete waste of time for them, nothing there for kids really and they were both bored stiff by the inter squad friendly. Was a gutter as I recall back in my youth it was a really fun occasion. Remember taking a pen against Andy Collet in a pen shootout that was set up on the old grass pitches behind the East stand (now the car park) , touring the west stand (inc changing rooms) meeting all the players in the bar and it just being a really good atmosphere in general. Was a million miles from last years attempt which in truth was really just an open training session rather than a fun day. |

Note kick off for Chesterfield is now 1PM Chesterfield will be a much tougher test than people are making out - they will be there or there abouts for NL Champions this season. Big budget & decent side for L2 football let alone NL. Should be a good game. |

Definitely know that stuff has been booked as I know the person who was involved in booking some of it all … This was what was put out originally by the club….
