@jts @hte ParrotIt's been a pleasure to have been a part of this over the years. I think I've been a member all through? Although my public appearances tailed off a little towards the end, I've got fond memories and have met some superb characters out of the ffsc. The club was at a low when it started out. The sponsorships of the young players, engagement with former Pros, meals and raffles all helped to donate money at a time when it was welcomed by our club. I think times have changed as has the enthusiasm of the membership. So, it is no surprise that this time has come. I am prepared to continue paying into 'something' each season and trust that one of you Execs (lol) will put the money to good use. If this is the end, then a final raffle of the shirts to raise funds for NA is as good a cause as any and a 23/24 subscription is fine by me. Thanks guys. |

Hello again everyone. I've spoken to Parrot and we have some funds and a few shirts left over. More details on the shirts to follow. Parrot informs me we have had a few people who have already paid up for this season. I would like to make a plea for one final FFSC push for your tenner donations for this season. I propose we open up for donations until the end of September this year (1 month) as our final deadline. All monies received will be added to the pot along with any proceeds the shirts may raise and we sign off by making our final FFSC donation to Nick Anderton. I'm super excited about making one last hurrah really count and I hope others are. As always, we will be lead by majority rule or utter apathy, whichever wins over. Would really appreciate your thoughts, feedback and support for this, especially all previous FFSC supporters. HTE. An excellent idea Hugo, count me in. |

Excellent idea and a fitting way to sign off.
As has been mentioned, the club is in a different place now but thank you to everyone involved over the years for their efforts in keeping the FFSC going. I feel very lucky to have experienced the game last year and meeting some of you in person. There are great Gasheads behind the avatars.

Thank you Jon and Parrot for setting up and running the FFSC all these years and raising money for the club at a time when it really needed it.
I think what has been proposed is a really fitting conclusion to it all.

Personally I always enjoyed the shambolic draws even though I never won a shirt - perhaps one last hurrah is appropriate.
FFSC gone but not forgotten.

It’s hard to find the words about this so apologies for rambling on. A truly brilliant club that my son and I were very proud to be a part of, that existed purely on the good will of a relatively small group of people and made a big difference. Something very pure. Thanks so much to Jon, Parrot, Hugo and everyone involved in the organisation. Good people, all. Definitely up for the last hurrah. I echo the words of Hugo and others that the club has changed and this site, which was a massive part of the reason FFSC came to be, has also changed. That’s normal and natural and though it’s sad to see the club end, maybe the reasons for the existence of the FFSC are no longer there. To be honest, I don’t really know. We still have our football club and whilst there are reasons to be hopeful moving forward, as ever, there seem to be a multitude of obstacles in the way of our progress. That’s Rovers for you and the way we navigate through all of this is never anything other than interesting and always tempestuous! UTG!

Many of the comments here echo my sentiments too. I've been in since the beginning and will support the FFSC for as long as it exists, but I'm also very happy to be fully behind Hugo's suggestion of a famous last stand. Thanks Jon, Hugo, Parrot for all the hard work that is needed to produce such a perfectly executed shambles every year  I'll be joining again this time. |

I've spoken to Parrot and Russ as I understand that last season Prediction League winners won membership to the FFSC so would appreciate them letting us know if they are OK or would like a refund. Please contact Russ, Jon, Parrot or Myself in PM if you'd rather not post here.
There are 4 player signed shirts left and I have been informed that attempts were made in PM and on Facebook to contact the winners and that they are unclaimed prizes from previous draws. To the best of my knowledge we have made reasonable attempts to unite them with the correct person.
If you know this NOT to be the case please contact one of us urgently.
If we don't hear anything all 4 shirts will be put up for auction with all proceeds going to NA.
As ever, we are just regular Joe's trying our best so if we've made a mistake please let one of know and we will do everything we can to rectify things.
