Anyone else get caught out by the change of ko time? I arrived at 2.15pm and there was a family also trying to get in. A poster in another thread mentioned a sudden increase in spectator numbers at some point early in the game. Ok, it was mentioned in the opening paragraph of the Fun Day timetable (in parenthesis) but not headline information. I would have thought the game would have been the most important aspect of the day. Selling the new shirt obviously superceded all else. Disappointing start to the season.

It was always going to be a 1pm kick off for some reason, the club made an error when announcing the open day.

Lost income. For the want of a stud, the boot was lost, for the want of a boot... £35 ticket income; my usual pasty and cuppa, £6; all the food the family would've bought £...

For all the positives on the pitch certain departments are failing the club and one person is out of his depth with no understanding of how a football club works and its relationship with its fan base. Too many mistakes.

Too many mistakes. I was aware of the 1pm kickoff and warned mates. Several couldn’t be bothered to miss lunch to come. I struggled with a recalcitrant bike so didn’t have time to eat before kickoff as planned. Queued up at halftime for a pastie for the queue to hardly move. Gave up when the players came out for second half along with most of the rest of the queue. More income lost. One snacks hut open between the Thatcher’s and East Stand? Bars struggling too. Hopeless. Why aren’t we set up to maximise sales as quickly as possible at halftime?

Too many mistakes. One? It just seems the left hand/right hand situation. Whose job is it to overview everything? It seemed catering staff were only told at the last minute, the media team evidently did know the ko time just a week before. Good job Joey and the players knew otherwise they could have just turned up when the ref was warming up. By the way, have we got a club secretary yet? Big fanfare (for a secretary) when superkid turned up, then very, very quiet when he left. I suppose that is the way now, trumpet your success, completely ignore the bad news. Thank God we have Wael to bail us out.

The club put the revised kick off time on their website, Facebook and Twitter etc. It said everywhere a revised 1pm kick off, due to circumstances out of our control.
Every time they advertised the game, in the days building up to it, it said 1pm kick off.
Do fans expect them to ring them all individually?? Not sure what more they could have done.
The club makes lots of mistakes, but some people want to blame them for everything, including their own mistakes.

Not on Twitter or Facebook. Wasn't really interested in "The Programme for the Fun Day" or whatever was posted since I had other stuff to do on Saturday. The game was the icing on my Saturday cake. I still maintain the revised ko should have been 'headline' news.

Given most of this season's pre-season games kicked off at odd times, then surely most fans would check the kick off time in the days leading up to the game?

Why would they get more overtime for a lunchtime kick off? I know it sounds daft but perhaps they were putting fans safety at the forefront of their decision?
