I was actually at an event recently and someone mentioned that they overheard an Rovers employee let slip in conversation that investors wanted this and that. Be interesting now to know what investment means really. I would hardly say we are throwing money around at players for example. The Posh owner suggested we have a bigger budget this summer plus the £250K offer for May seemed to come from nowhere. The fact Collins is still at the club and we've signed more players is a bit unusual for Rovers. |

This is the way I read it
Hearing that a club in Bristol were up for sale, some rich Kuwaiti trillionaires chartered a helicopter to visit the ground and discuss the matter with a 'Mr Glansdown'.
Whilst enroute, they flew over a stadium which was obviously undergoing some serious investment and asked to land there to have a look around instead.
What we're seeing now is the result if this.

It came from nowhere as there were no rumours we were going to splash out money on a player. Plus what made DM.say we had a bigger budget this summer. Regardless if the rumours are true then the new owners must surely have had some input in this summer's transfer budget. |

Whilst the business we usually do is smart free transfers we usually do spend £250k ish on someone in the summer.
The ones who we have spent fees on that’s over £100k I can think off under Waels stewardship:
Tom Nichols
Sam Nicholson
Luke McCormick
James Colloney
Brendan Hanlan
I’m pretty sure I’ve missed a few off that list too.

Something is brewing and as we seem to be getting no negative news (footballing side of thing rather than the ground). We literally spent this last summer of not more on Macca and Connolly without selling anyone. |

It's not just the transfer fee, whilst it may not seem like they have spent a lot on players you have to consider other fees involved when signing players, such as agent fees, signing on fees, player wage demands, legal fees for contracts it all adds up im sure theres other fees I've missed |
