Manager Kevin Maher met a young Southend United supporter and the rest of the fanbase who helped tidy and clean a run-down looking Roots Hall ahead of the new season. They left a message on the board for the staff and players too. Never give up.
Recall the moment when we dropped out.Went to a surprise 70th that evening and had to put on a happy face but was hurting badly.When the fixtures came out it confirmed my worst fears!!!!!!!!
However getting back made up for it and my Notts County neighbour here is on a constant high.He went last week to see a friendly against Forest!!!!!
