Sounds like he played well and managed the yellow card well for the rest of the game. Good news. Need a performing Finley with no Rossiter.

He slowed the pace out the game when pompey were on top and always looked to get on the ball. However he did get caught in possession a number of times and exposed us to a number of counter attacks. |

He slowed the pace out the game when pompey were on top and always looked to get on the ball. However he did get caught in possession a number of times and exposed us to a number of counter attacks. Don't you mean he got caught once? Given we almost held out for a win against this season's promotion favourites our midfield must have performed reasonably well or we'd have been overrun. |

It's a difficult one. Do you want Mr Committed (think Holloway type), or a more measured, less volatile type like Wilson (Tilson)?
Whoever should get our complete support of course, but given the chance, I would choose Jimmy Wilson.
Anyway, first game of the season and we didn't lose.

He started the game well but the early booking affected his game no doubt, but general distribution and ball retention especially second half was poor.
