We’ve got far to much confidence in the ball playing skills of this Keeper, only a matter of time before someone makes a mistake with the ball zipping around on this pitch. Connolly ?? Mainly Connolly but a few others. Cox has looked decent so far but the defence keeps putting him under pressure in tight situations, same as in the Chesterfield game and it’s a miracle that we didn’t concede from it then. |

Pompey seemed to have worked out that if they press our defence we're more likely to give them the ball back than catch them on the break |

Got to be happy with this start to the match. We would have taken 1-0 to us at Half Time before the match. We need to learn a little more about playing out from the back but on balance it can create chances as our long ball breaks the press. We must remember that these are one of the favourites to win the league. We have had our chances to score more. James Wilson playing well. Enjoyable first half. Bring on the second half.

Great start. Been under a bit too much pressure after the goal for my liking. Will be hard to not concede if the second half starts the same.
It’s essential we keep 11 on the pitch. Got no chance if someone picks up a second yellow.

I assume that's the way they've been told to play? You have to sense that Belshaw's career at Rovers is now over, if this is how we're going to play this season. Pompey only look average so far and have rarely looked like scoring, let's hope it remains that way in the second half, which will probably last at least an hour! |
