Before my time.
Did he wear the no 8 for Rovers?
Talking to lovely lady of 80 last night who remembers going with her Dad to watch Geoff Bradford and a tall blonde no 8.
I'm assuming it was Alfie.
Can anyone confirm?

In his first spell at Rovers (1953-61), Biggs primarily wore the number 8 shirt although 7,9,10 and 11 were worn on a few occasions. Returning from PNE in 1962 he primarily wore the No.9 shirt, including his last appearance in 1968 away at Walsall

No 9. Maybe Kenny Ronaldson? Don't think Geoff ever played in the same team as Kenny.

No 9. Maybe Kenny Ronaldson? Don't think Geoff ever played in the same team as Kenny. Bradford 1949 -64 Ronaldson 1965 - 69. …so they didn’t overlap. I remember a reserve game when Ronaldson rattled the bar with an effort from the halfway line.

Played at Eastville for PNE against us and scored at the Tote End against us from nearly 30 yards .Also saw him score at Eastville in the FA Cup against them. Our record crowd I recall at the time.Tom Finney played for them that day.Think it was 1-1. Alfie had a brother Bert who played in the Bristol Suburban league. Alfie Biggs Gas Icon.
