A one point deduction is that it?
Rovers will hit them with a bigger points deduction when we play them at their place next month.

Then go straight out and sign a Chelsea youngster . Although they cannot pay transfer fees, their wage bill must be high with the players they have on the books

I read somewhere that they have a salary cap of £1400 per week

What's the point (pardon the pun) in a 1 pt deduction, when that hardly makes a difference over 46 games.
Although the fact the owner now has to bank 125% of the monthly wage in a bank account could make things interesting/lead to a bigger pts deduction.

Wigan are rooted to the bottom of the table after their six point deduction but are going well, and one more win should see them clear of the relegation spots. Might hurt them hard later on though if they make a surge for the playoffs.

Might hurt them hard later on though if they make a surge for the playoffs. Its like déjà vu for these clubs. They get themselves into trouble. Somehow get out of it and then massively overspend again to get themselves promoted and end up back where they left off a year later after getting relegated again!

Read that this is Readings 3rd season jn a row with a deduction? How is that allowed, needs more severe punishment. We are all fed up of the likes of Wigan getting away with it then winning promotion again. Sorry to their fans but time some were kicked out of the league entirely.

Involved in Genevra Associates is ex-Wigan Athletic chairman Talal Al-Hammad, who is the son-in-law of former Latics owner Abdulrahman Al-Jasmi, the Bahraini businessman who was forced out of Wigan Athletic earlier this year after running into financial difficulties.

I see their 'punishment' for getting their game abandoned is a 3 point deduction suspended for 3 months. Maybe we should have done the same v Norwich (or going back further....Mansfield, in THAT game!)

This deal didn't go ahead as Dai Yongge is still in charge, but good to see the 'Fit and proper person' tests are alive and well!
Surprised that the points penalty was only suspended, but if Yongge remains in charge, I'm guessing the protests will continue.

A Reading supporters' group claims it is "not the right time" for another on-field protest after their last home game was abandoned.

Another 2 points deducted for failing to meet payment obligations and 2 further point deduction suspended.

How is that fair? They break the rules and do something that Cheltenham haven’t done. I’d be livid if I my team went down when it should be someone else’s who broke the rules!

Cheltenham three points below them with 3 games in hand - much rather Cheltenham, DC and Sercombe stay up. Would be fun to see Reading in the 4th tier. Would not cry if the Snake was relegated .... but can't have everything.

They should be relegated, full stop. Fans emotions aside, theyre a shambles, and should be relegated. Same for Wigan, too. Year after year. Get points deduction, rebuild, bully L1, get promoted, run into financial difficulties, get relegated, get a points deduction. Rinse and repeat. Enough is enough.

If they were relegated then they'd still just get promoted again anyway? Although I've no idea how a committee decides what points deduction is appropriate anyway.
