No, he's not. He's a true Gashead who dislikes JB enormously. Which is his perogative and fair enough. I don't agree with him on that as personally I'm not keen to moralise on people, based on news and media reports - written - or fabricated - by, er, journalists. I note that Private Eye has pinpointed half a dozen claims in the Sun's reporting on Huw Edwards which were totally inaccurate. I saw a YouTube video recently tracing the decline and demise of journalism since Murdoch bought the Sun. I rather like JB's decision. So, You decry journalism but then go on to quote Private Eye and YouTube? Come on. But in principle I agree with you. And Barton is doing exactly the same in his own limited way. As manager he has a responsibility to the supporters to communicate honestly with them. He has stopped doing that unless we pay him. That's low life grifting which is unbecoming of a professional manager and relegates the Evening Post into the so what/who cares category, one that has been blown up out of all proportion by Barton himself. For the record - I have doubts about PE these days and grave doubts about youtube. But when claims by either can be corroborated, I have to accept there is some truth in it. "Blown up out of all proportion" on football fans forums. Odd you criticise me then agree with me. But there you go. |

I'm not sure what point your trying to make with the links to those articles. Not once in any of them does piercy make any derogatory comments towards Pearson, only critics the team and it's performance which is perfectly acceptable. He makes a direct personal dig about Barton's ability as a football manager with a rather childish remark. He hasn't and wouldn't dream of making that comment about Nigel. If our manager ever stops making snarky remarks about teams and/or managers (like the one he made after Saturday about cambridge for instance) i might find Barton's stance a bit more acceptable. If he doesnt want to speak to The Post. Fine. Just find it quite laughable what he has got hid knickers in a not over given the stuff that comes out of his own mouth JB didn't make any snarky remarks about Cambridge he just accepted their game plan worked? |

Amazing, I hope the usual JB haters come out and apologies for the crap they’ve spouted about him over it. I’ve largely stayed away from commenting but read plenty of negative post about Barton having a subscribed Twitter account, the majority of it has been over the top so I’m really hoping they can eat some humble pie and openly apologies about it Cracking idea and even better cause. |

I’ve been critical of him dropping club news on Twitter and I’m still against it but if he wants to post his own musings for money and give it to Nick then fair play to him.

If you watch closely he was constantly encouraging, praising and offering advice to Tubes on his golf, if he's like playing golf what's he like on the training ground with the players I thought he came across very well. |

He didn’t communicate thoroughly what his plans were and then started dropping club news behind his paywall. A simple video, like most YouTubers do explaining that all proceeds were to Nick this year and half the fanbase may have gotten on board with it. |

Although writing critical articles is hardly the same as having needless digs when doing a pre-season preview article. Just backing up a view point with evidence. Pierecy is a journo who writes what he sees and isnt worried kertowing to whomever he is reporting too. As for needless digs, not like our own manager doesnt make them about countless opposition teams/managers is it? Just a bit rich for Barton to get all upset over that. Piercey has hardly slandered him So you're saying that Piercey acts in a similar way to that which JB is accused of, by some. Piercey is kertowing to the 82'ers by trying to maximise support for himself with his comments, he ain't no "big, bad, don't give a F*ck" journalist. |

Regarding Piercy last season he was just writing reports for both City and Rovers now since Richard Forrester who wrote about City left the same time as Sam Frost it seems Piercy has wormed is way now reporting on City full time
