Such sad news.
Condolences to Angela and family. Let's hope the Rovers family can bring some support in some small way.
Although I knew Dave for over ten years, we never really spoke that much. Probably both very busy with our match day duties before a game and generally both quite quiet people I would guess.
If we met after a game, we probably shrugged our shoulders or rolled our eyes after a defeat, but exclaimed "What a goal" or "what a game" with a laugh or smile and a spring in our step after a victory.
After THE 7-0 we must have looked a sight as walked towards eachother, with our wide eyed joy of children at Christmas, combined with ear to ear Cheshire cat type grins.
I think my profound summary of the game was a shake of my head saying "Wow, can't believe it" whereas Dave said "Naah, always had a feeling we would do it!"
Glad to have fleetingly shared one of those truly magical moments of joy that following BRFC can bring.
RIP Dave

Sorry to hear.
Did an important and understated job in healing the rift between the FC and SC.
Condolences to family.

That really is very sad news. I didn't know David that well but I was impressed by the way he took the chair of the Supporters Club and began the process of reviving their reputation.
Condolences to his wife particularly as they seemed inseparable.
Kind regards

Very very sad. The first time I met him was not long after he took over as chair and he door stopped me on the way into the ground. Shook my hand and said, it’s going to be different now and I’d like to welcome you into the SC if you’d ever consider rejoining. After that we had a regular greeting/quick chat and I found him to be a very genuine and warm man. Goodnight David. X Mr Important strikes again. Shameless. I really can't see anything wrong in that comment?

I don't think this is either the thread or time for points scoring -- Pretty poor taste Diagonalswitch.

Ok. I would like to apologise to any member of David’s family that has been offended by me using this thread to have a pop at someone. It should have gone straight to DM. I apologise for my inappropriate behaviour on this thread last night.
