One of the biggest, most generous, hard working, loyal and friendliest Gasheads you are ever likely to meet. He always stood up when needed and his commitment to the club was second to none.
Met David many times and he was always supportive and encouraged everyone to have their own views. His wife Angela was a rock beside him and again you couldn’t meet a nicer person, my thoughts go out to her at this devastating time, you’re in my thoughts.
David - Thank you for all you did for the football club we all love, you were magnificent as a supporter and a person and you will be sorely missed.

I didn’t know Dave personally & we’d never met but I know exactly who he is from the picture, purely from ‘around the club’ at home games and also on the road. Terrible news indeed.

Very very sad.
The first time I met him was not long after he took over as chair and he door stopped me on the way into the ground.
Shook my hand and said, it’s going to be different now and I’d like to welcome you into the SC if you’d ever consider rejoining.
After that we had a regular greeting/quick chat and I found him to be a very genuine and warm man.
Goodnight David. X
