Our TWO Home league fixtures this season have seen crowds of just under 8,000. This is significantly below crowd totals at the end of last season.
This size of crowd is suitable for a mid-table club. To be a club that can challenge for promotion and thrives attendances need to rise.
There is a clear need for more covered seating at The Mem. Not Green seats though.
Attendances are likely to increase in the medium term. Build it and they will come in the long term as well.
Are overall attendances in EFL 1 and EFL 2 rising or falling this season?
On Saturday 82,246 spectators watched the 12 games in EFL League One.
Surprisingly, 84,940 attended the 12 games in EFL League Two.
I'm not sure that overall average attendances for a full fixture list in EFL 2 have exceeded EFL 1 previously.
The average in EFL 1 this weekend was 6,854 while in EFL 2 it was 7,078.
Really looking forward to attendances at The Mem of 11,999 and 12,001.
How long left?
Three months, six months, twelve months?
