Please no VAR at Rovers in my lifetime. Imagine the limbs after Anderson's header last season and at the back of your mind is "it could get chalked off for an infringement in the build up" Football is better off without it. Mistakes happen, and still do happen with VAR. I'd rather have what we have now. On the flip side imagine if a Lino or Ref had incorrectly ruled out Anderson’s header and footage after the game had shown it was a legitimate goal - we’d have been fuming and moaning we’d have been promoted if there was VAR. For me miscarriages of justice and getting decisions right takes precedence over a possible loss of some spontaneous celebrations etc…. I think we saw both ends of the spectrum on Saturday. Dodgy decisions in the lead up to our goal, and their winner, plus a pen that wasn't given. I get your point, but I'd rather have the wrong decisions (in both directions) and be able to celebrate in the moment. I don't think you're wrong at all mind, just my preference!

Easy targets refs eh? Blame the ref blah blah
Refs have to act because players stretch/breach the laws of the game, it starts with the players and you can continue with managers and coaches not doing enough to control/discipline their players.
Pro refs. Honestly? What’s the difference with full time pros? Their still human and all humans miss stuff or make errors.
Here’s the rub, after how many matches that we have won, have you gone home complaining that “we had another sh** ref”? So, bad ref or bad loser or a bit of both?
It’s just football.

I think they are making more mistakes than ever these days. Maybe its related to the pace of the game and they cant keep up, some of them dont look in great shape considering they have to make sure they are in the right place to make decisions. This one against Wycombe I can see no excuses for - he is looking directly at the incident, their player comes charging across when 2 of his own players were closer to the ball and then completely takes him out. Pen all day long We should do enough ourselves to not let refs decide games but when scores are tight, they do.
