Just for information, Supporters' Club caps will be presented at halftime at the Lincoln City fixture on September 2nd to the Morgan family, who have sponsored the caps for Frederick 'Jerry' Morgan and William James 'Jimmy' Morgan. Both played for the club in the 1920s and the late 1940s/early 1950s respectively. Jerry has been issued with cap number 21, and Jimmy 277.
Both played over 100 times for the club, and were part of the famous Morgan family of the Barton Hill/Redfield area of Bristol, who played numerous charity matches between 1919 and 1964, fielding teams made up exclusively of family members.
A book detailing the history of the wider Morgan family, along with details of Jerry's and Jimmy's footballing careers, as well as family memories and stories, is due for publication later this year.
