Yeah, I know it is not everyones cup of tea and sorry to be positive about the club at present, but really looking forward to this.
Cheltenham may rotate and play youth players so it may be a one sided Scunthorpe type game, but our "reserve" side must be so strong.
There are players who have a point to prove.
Belly Gibbons, Hoole, Taylor, Gordon Macca, Ward, Lawrence, Sincs, Marquis,Vale
Cameos for Larvin, Hall, Shaw and Collins to come on to get a goal and confidence back perhaps?
Once the first goes in, I expect a large moral boosting victory with plenty of goals.
Bring a family member, or a mate - sod it bring along someone you don't like, just get as many to the Mem as possible and hopefully witness more goals in one game than we have managed at home all season.

Agree with this. Whist many have mixed views on the competition, we have a lot of players who need game time and this is the perfect opportunity for that. I do wonder however, if JB will go with a stronger starting eleven in order to get a much needed win and boost confidence. Especially seeing as we have no game next weekend.

I’d go with that team but hoole on right and keep Crama at CB to get some more time with Taylor. Let’s make a real go of it this season

Would not risk Marquis he is our only striker , if he gets injured we are even more stuffed, keep him for league games only.

When the idea of switching the game to next Saturday was mentioned on here, after the Reading game got called off, I emailed Tom, as I thought it was a good suggestion.
He replied to say the club expected a few of our own players to be selected for international duty, so were sticking to the Tuesday date.
To me, that seems we are going to take this competition very seriously this season, so whilst some squad players need games, I would expect quite a few of the players who have started recently to be in the match day squad and a very strong starting 11 will be chosen.
That said, personally I hope there is a space for at least one of the younger players to get some game time.

With no game saturday i expect a first team selection for this match. Joe will want a win and perhaps get some players scoring again.

I assume Matt Cox is now too old for England U20's but hasn't been picked for the U21's, with Harvey Vale also overlooked for the U20's. The only player likely to be called up is Hoole but Wales U21 don't play their match until a week Tuesday. Even if the latter two players had been called up I assume Belshaw and McCormick would be more than adequate replacements.

Is Bogarde a youth/ u21?
It's a bit of a stretch for TG to think Aaron might have had outside chance?

As we don't seem to be no where near having a settled side think we have to treat this game as a league game and JB needs to put out what he believes is his best starting 11, ready for next league game, he has to find the right combination and tactics soon or.......................!
