Not bothered by signing free agents, just ex Ted ones that are injury prone and not exactly prolific in scoring. 42 in his last six years, that’s an average of seven a season. So I’ll keep my head where you suggested. 17 in 95 appearances for the sh** - doesn’t fill me with awe & wonder really . . . That was in the Championship a much higher standard. |

JB has played at the highest level & AM was a striker at our level (more or less) and we have a large backup staff. He is only training with us, being assessed. I'm fairly confident he won't be signed if he can't do a job for us. |

4 goals in 16 games last season for a poor QPR side doesn't seem like a bad return. If he could repeat that this season in L1 and also chip in with a few assists it'll be a damn sight better than Loft was likely to achieve if he'd stayed.
I'd imagine finding out of contract strikers who'll play in L1 and also move to Bristol isn't the easiest transfer to pull off.

His goalscoring record is one of the highest in the history of the Championship. He has never had any pace to lose. Very strong and holds the ball up well bringing others into play. He gets stuck in unsettling defenders.

If he's training with Rovers you'd have to assume we would be favourites to sign him, assuming he's not just training with us in order to get fit as we're just his local club?

If he was training just to get fit then surely it’s more likely he’d do that with City, given his history? I don’t think we’d have him with us if we weren’t seriously considering him. |

Sounds like a similar situation to George Friend in the summer, just need to check his fitness to make sure he isn't going to take more than a few weeks to get up to full speed before committing. |

To be fair it's only a temporary fix to the fix the JCH balls up Personally I would prefer Lyle Taylor but if its a short term deal to get to the January window I'm not complaining if he signs and who he's played for in the past Yes, especially as he “consciously uncoupled” from them in January |
