Personally it's quite a moment for me that he's signed for Rovers so many years after I stuck my neck out recommending him. I'm also a bit surprised that he's now signed as he's had run-ins with JB in the past.
I think it's good that CM is local as there are players who have had a good career who won't move home; will half-heartedly commute long distances just after a last pay-day. It's a short contact so little risk to Rovers, if he does ok then Rovers have the option to extend.
Just his presence in the squad may mean others will raise their own game as competition for places. CM has never had any pace to lose. When nothing is working he will mix it to try to unsettle defenders. Has a bit of an attitude that you wouldn't want to play against. I've no idea how well he will do for Rovers but I do think he will try his best.
