Well that's the difference between a team hoping for a midtable finish and a team with promotion ambitions.
Another year we fail to win at Peterborough.

You can see why no championship clubs would come in for Collins, he misses 2/3 sitters every game. Finishing just not up to standard

Not much between the two sides, a draw would have been a fair result imo. Key moments have gone against us - they score from a 30 yard deflected pot shot and capitalise on a terrible mistake by Hunt whereas we hit the post, have one cleared off the line and Collins misses the sitter of the season.
I’d have preferred Gordon to Vale if fit but he hasn’t done a lot wrong. I don’t think many would have been happy to see Hunt dropped before kick off? Taylor and Grant have done well against one of the best attacks in the division - don’t think Connolly would have made a difference as he’d have been on the bench at best.
No need to be too downbeat tonight. We’re playing well and should bounce back on Tuesday.

Inconsistency might well be the norm this season! UTG.

For all the play we have hardly warmed their keepers gloves today JCH cleared off the line, Collins missed an easy chance and Brown hit the woodwork, on another day all those chances would have been goals.

Inconsistency might well be the norm this season! UTG. Were we really inconsistent or just not got the rub of the green today?

10 15 minute spell from the ref in the 2nd half put to bed any real chance of getting back into the game

Another twist of fate and we would have won 3-0. Unfortunately it didnt happen. Scoreline massively flattered posh.
Taylor and Bogarde stood out ,plenty of others played well.
Hunt played poor ,even though he had a pacey player against him most of the game. I forgive him not being able to keep up it was the other parts of his game he was a let down.
Offside goal, post, fantastic goal line clearance. Fine margins. Luckiest points posh will get all season.

Peterborough were decent … fast on the break , spiteful in the tackle and defended their box pretty well.
We looked like a mid table side who constantly made poor decisions and had very little quality in front of goal.
Cox - 7 … Could have been far worse without him
Hunt - 4 … Love this guy but to day he was found out by their very lively winger and going forward his distribution was poor.
Taylor - 6 .. Gave his all and defended well . Distribution looking better
Grant-6 .. Very agile and gives us speed at the back
Vale - 5 Did well - looked ok defending and got forward at times.
Finley -7 Scrapped well in the midfield and pushed us forward
Evans -5 Added little and distribution poor.
Bogarde..6 - Quietly effective and tidied up well
Thomas … 4 Anonymous and went off injured
Marquis…4 Ran around but added little
Collins … 4 Poor and missed a very straight forward 1 on 1
Subs
Brown … 5 Needs a goal - hit the post from a snap shot - poor decision making at times
Martin 6 … Pretty impressive and great knock on to put Collins though
Other subs not on long enough or did next to nothing. McCormicks awful shot at goal last seen travelling over Kings Lynn - pathetic !
Peterborough -6 - A new team with some very fast attacking lads - spiteful at times and clinical
JB watch - 6 - Unchanged team was an obvious call but a huge mismatch of pace for Jack Hunt against the zippy Ricky Jade - Jones - surely that was flagged as a concern?
Ref team - 4 - Seriously poor with some crazy bookings handed out and awful free kick calls
Rovers Fans - 6 Didn’t hear much but to be fair little to cheer.

I thought that overall it was a decent enough performance, it was an even game away to a good side , bit unlucky as well really , a horrible deflection for their first , we had one cleared off the line , we hit the post , the ref was a homer it all added up to go against us and sometimes that happens. Most played well although I thought hunt had a stinker for a change and Collins was so quiet I kept forgetting he was on the pitch which is disappointing after a couple of much better game’s recently. The new striker looked very good and although he’s obviously not match fit after a lengthy spell not playing i thought he did more in the 20 minutes he was on than Collins did in 97 minutes.

It just wasn't to be our day the performance was ok the effort you couldn't fault we just forgot to take our shooting boots. Posh were ok but until there lucky first goal were being outplayed and got a boost. With chances created and should have been scored that could easily have been 3-3 4-4 and even though we lost I enjoyed the game and still positive we can get on a run.

Frustrated more than disappointed with that, I thought for the majority we were the better side, unlucky with the deflection for the first goal and Cox very unfortunate with 2nd after making a really good save. On another day Collins scores both his chances, Brown's shot that hit the post goes in and we get something from the game. Still believe there's a lot more to come from this team

It’s easy to say that we could have done this or this could have happened or the ref did this and that and the result might have been different, but it wasn’t and we lost. So whilst it’s probably not a discussion for this thread but seeing as we’ve just come within a whisker of paying a fortune for Peterborough’s JCH says that our new owners have a lot of money. Which makes me wonder how long their patience will last with JB and the inconsistency we seem to have.

LT getting both barrels -
FFS Barton - you absolute coward !
You’re the manager you decide who comes off if a player comes off ..
He has called him all sorts even saying he will be ‘ on his way’ - Sorry that is not acceptable.!
