Saw today that the Daily Mail had picked up Barton rant and it was the main headline online. The main headline? Did they not hear that Europe won the Ryder Cup?

If no bigger clubs will employ JB isn't that a good thing for us as there's little chance he'll be head hunted if he's successful at Rovers? If results don't improve soon then he'll probably get the sack some time this season anyway if the new owners are as ambitious as they seem to be, I very much doubt he'll get the sack just for ranting to the press about players. Ambition of the new owners? I must have missed the mission statement 🤷♂️ Have they said anything at all?

Ambition of the new owners? I must have missed the mission statement 🤷♂️ Exactly. Have they said anything other than some buzzwords when they came in? Infinity and beyond.

I've been supportive of JB up to now but in this instance he's bang out of order. As a parent I would want to be facing JB head on if it was my son. If LT decides to take this further with the PFA or even to TG with a formal complaint Barton could be in serious trouble - this could well be, imo a conduit coupled with an under performing team, reasons for his dismissal. I can imagine his peer group aren't to enamoured either. You’re right about it being wrong and of course it’s something that’s happened before but I’d be very surprised if LT takes it to TG or his union with a formal complaint. If he were to fail where does he go then? He would still have to face JB and rely upon him for his career. LT would have to be very certain that his complaint would be treated seriously. Not too sure anything will happen, the next match comes along and things move on. Now if we lose again tomorrow night then perhaps things change, but only if the owners feel the results aren’t matching their expectations. As some say it is bullying and in other spheres of employment it may be dealt with but football’s also a business so unlike any other that I’d be surprised if anything happens to JB. Results going badly would be a different matter. UTG!

I'd imagine Chris Martin is on a decent contract as well. All the signs are the new owners want the new Mem packed as we push for a top 6 finish.

Have they issued a statement of intent? Sorry to quiz but, what are the signs of packing the Mem? The pricing is odd, the facilities are gash, are there incentives to attract new or previous supporters? I don't see it. Early days for them but no statement of intent is deafening.

Chris Martin won’t be on massive money either. Free agent heading into October and still local to the West Country. We aren’t talking massive money here

It'll be packed if we're anywhere near getting a play off place, or when we play the likes of Reading and Derby. I assume pricing will be looked at again once the new stands are finished.

Well I’m a bit flummoxed. It felt like the Wigan game was the start of a run and the confirmation of form for the season we are all hoping for. Playoffs, maybe more! A fairly standard defeat at the posh with the right amount of coulda shoulda woulda chances for us and it’s a totally normal hiccup and on to port vale but somehow there always seems to be a way of spaffing any feel good vibes or momentum up the wall. The ridiculous dressing down of Aaron Collins last season that he’s yet to return to form from, the James belshaw pantomime and I forget what went on but straight after the head shaving event something happened to make sure there was nothing but cloudy skys. Pfffft

Just watched goals again, was JCH offside for the first?

Just watched goals again, was JCH offside for the first? I've lost track of the latest "interfering with play" offside rules, isn't it now a case of if a player gains an advantage by being in an offside position, JCH seems to be blocking Cox's view of the shot, then he's now given as offside?

Thought if impacted line of vision for keeper then offside.
