I see we are 1 of 6 EFL clubs who have made an environmental pledge not to fly to matches, Champions League by train it is then Can't believe Wrexham flew to 16 games last season www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/67067513

Flying to National League games, wow!
I'm pretty sure we didn't even want to pay for hotels the night before away games when we were in that league!

Forget the reason why but they had to get a coach back to Manchester after the game. Sky very concerned for them as the commentators mentioned it more than once in the game.

Guess we are keeping quiet about number of flights our owners must make to watch games ........ That's an interesting point, not just about our owners, but all foreign owners. Although I guess if they are flying commercially, it doesn't really matter.

A client of mine works as a private flight air hostess.
A lot of her work is made up of getting on the plane at Farnborough airport, flying to Manchester, hosting the MU players for between 20-40 mins depending on the direction of travel and then flying back to Farnborough.

Agree not such a problem if they are going on full commercial flights - can't imagine we would ever charter a whole plane but the big clubs clearly do.

A mate of mine is the physio at the 82ers… he tells me some crazy stuff that they do… but one of them was, the 82ers was playing a game away up north somewhere. The players all flew up the day before the game. They then sent the players coach up ‘EMPTY’ just to take the players from the hotel to the ground on match day. The coach then drove back empty again after the game, and players flew back. !!

'Team full of Bergkamps, we're just a team full of Bergkamps' [br Yes we do. That team would be brilliant, as well as green.

I mean, if I was on championship wages, you wouldn't catch me on a peasant wagon (and I can say that with modesty because I can't drive lol!). 7 hours on a coach plus then getting home and all that jazz, or home through the door in 2?

In the Graydon, Atkins and others days, I was often "flying" before games.
Only way to watch that sh**e.
