A mate of mine is the physio at the 82ers… he tells me some crazy stuff that they do… but one of them was, the 82ers was playing a game away up north somewhere. The players all flew up the day before the game. They then sent the players coach up ‘EMPTY’ just to take the players from the hotel to the ground on match day. The coach then drove back empty again after the game, and players flew back. !! I mean, if I was on championship wages, you wouldn't catch me on a peasant wagon (and I can say that with modesty because I can't drive lol!). 7 hours on a coach plus then getting home and all that jazz, or home through the door in 2? I get that… but to send the players coach from Bristol to where ever up North just to take players from hotel to ground is a bit extreme.

Surely there'd be a more local coach company for the trip. Yes, sans livery. But people would "get it" if it's for the environment 💚

I've flown to watch Gas away. More than once. Sorry, Greta... (Well actually I'm not sorry to her, personally).

As a slight aside to this have just seen a bbc news item about the Barnsley team bus that caught fire last week. After the win at Exeter the bus caught fire on the M5 on the way home. It happened very quickly and everyone got off in a minute or so, the bus was totally destroyed . All their kit, laptops etc etc was lost. Cheltenham came to their rescue and lent them their team bus to get home.
