Maybe like Trolls someone may work out he's a very good coach but not a manager. Garner made Trolls look like Pep! UTG!

Think this is the last time we see him as a football league manager. Yes. Now that he’s failed at Colchester I’m not sure there’s a way back for him in the EFL and he’ll end up on the London/Home Counties non league circuit. 3 fails out of 4 managing posts isn’t the best look. UTG!

He will probably end up as a coach under a stronger manager. Nothing wrong with that, good luck to him. I don't get the vitriol towards him. He failed with us, but he didn't fail alone in my opinion. There was a systemic failure of strategy and executive management.
What I also do not understand is why the current incumbent is not held to the same standard. Coming up to three years in and after £millions in unsustainable losses we are in almost the exact league position as when Garner was sacked.

But in a higher league than when Barton was appointed .... Agree though we need to be in a better position than we are now, but one more win would have us in a much higher league position.

Personally I don't like him due to the way he treated a fair few of our players, a gutless man that was horribly out of his depth and his ineptitude was backed by ineptitude. Some things never change!

Garner was very lucky with when COVID hit, memory of how bad he was faded for the start of the 21 season. Nothing personal against the guy but he never looked like he could manage. It was obvious he wasn't up to the task. We should have got rid long before we did.

Never should have appointed him to manage the squad we had, our position in the league and the style of football considering it was the worst appointment for that time. Should have got someone in who could see our strengths and keep us going , we were what 4th in the league it didn’t need fixing just a few small changes here and there perhaps but Garner tore it up started again and set us back to league 2. sh**e appointment.

New interview with Ben Garner. I never knew he lived in Bristol. I always assumed he commuted from the London area. Probably on the lookout for a local job.

I recall someone here saying that he got one of his children into a school here just before he was sacked. If they settled it would make sense.

Can't imagine that will be much read by anyone really. Quite a bizarre choice of manager for an such an article.
