This is what I'd like to see in the future , yes it's all very well bringing in decent players on loan , but the clubs got the look of a revolving door
never settling on a team. Of course that all starts at the Quaters , and JB or whoever in the future's ability to develop them into first team starters.
Plus of course the sell on value ( inevitable if successful ) , which puts us on a healthy conveyer belt.
Ta be fair pal, we tried that approach, it’s what Garner was brought in ta do, it didnae end well. In time of course , Jock , plus I wouldn't trust Garner with Little Stoke reserve team |

Our form is mid table.Yet anyone paying attention can surely see we just haven’t quite had the luck, in the last couple especially. The performances were there - I watched them all and can’t really see how anyone that watched it wouldn’t come away impressed by us.
At times earlier in the season we genuinely did not create anything. We now do. We have improved, yet can further.
If we continue to fail to get results for months longer, I may become concerned.
At the moment I’m still very positive. I think we have the look of a great side and I’m confident it’s going to click very, very soon.
And when we do, aside from perhaps JCH, we’re ready for a big push.

I remember the same sort of posts when we were in the 4th division a couple of years ago. Yes the year we got promoted. Blimey it is only October and some of our fan base are already panicking. At least give it to Xmas. One thing about Joey -- He gets the Bristolian thing unlike quite a few managers who have been here. Come on people the team need support at the moment not a load of moaners .

I remember the same sort of posts when we were in the 4th division a couple of years ago. Yes the year we got promoted. Blimey it is only October and some of our fan base are already panicking. At least give it to Xmas. One thing about Joey -- He gets the Bristolian thing unlike quite a few managers who have been here. Come on people the team need support at the moment not a load of moaners . But we got lucky that year by signing a young lad that noone knew anything about and wasn't really threatening to be included in the 1st team. And he single handedly got us promoted whilst the other 10 players on the pitch ran around a bit. |

Come on people the team need support at the moment not a load of moaners . Don’t think too many are panicking, just a few more getting a little concerned about relatively poor start to the season . Mixed in with the cohort that always wanted Barton out it may come across as worse than it is . I agree with Roadman that we should be at least top 10 after 20 games. Still easily achievable and when we get players back from injuries we should improve . So far it hasn’t been good enough. |

I don't think Joey's time is up yet. I am indifferent about how he has done with us. I have been very encouraged at times but I do feel Joey has also been backed as much as if not more than previous managers because of his profile. If we finish 17th then I would want us to move on but I think we will finish higher. We have to aim for at least top half this season really to be called a decent season. Anything less I will be bitterly disappointed. If we sign JCH in Jan then anything is possible.

In fairness I think they are right, we are a good team and squad, play good football. Problem is consistency ,we don't have any at present and that falls under the remit of JB. |

Ta be fair pal, we tried that approach, it’s what Garner was brought in ta do, it didnae end well. I think he went to an extreme. Its one thing having one or two regular youngsters and having a few in squad coming through, but BG went too far on the squad being made up of too many "young, but potential". Clearly several were not ready and were caught like rabbits in headlights. It was kinda of similar through necessity, in 85-86, but whereas Bobby Gould used the experience of Stevenson and Francis, Garner didn't (Agogo, Craig, Davies etc). - You would have thought he would have learned from his mistakes but Colchester sounds similar. If ever there was a season when we needed fans being the extra man and pulling the side through tough times, it was the COVID season. |

Over the last 6 games we’ve gone from 20th to 17th. Hardly a vast improvement. Over the last 10 games we are 16th in the form table. The truth is the only one that matter is the league table which isn’t lying. It’s not been good enough. |
