Wow. Didn't think we were near that stage yet so shocked by that. Time for that list of Barton out brigade to come out😂 I think wel get Karl Robinson or Steve Cottrell but I'd prefer Paul cook who's doing a terrific job at chesterfield and has a management style that suits the squad we have built. Nope nope and nope. We need much better than that.

Must be a relief to the likes of Adam Tutton and Her Game Too.

Hearing that Barton spoke out once too often … Wael wasn’t keen to pull the plug but was over ruled. Don’t expect a new face too soon … this was not planned. The new blokes have wanted him gone for weeks. They’ll have people in mind.

I feel this has more to do with off the field stuff rather than recent results. Anyway, all those people who would never watch Rovers whilst JB was manager will now be turning up in their droves! Should add about 20 to our attendance...... no stay away, we don't want them

Recent post match interviews not very professional - laughed at the Fat Man and Weeble comments but not really what you expect from a manager talking about another.

Not at all surprised. New owners usually want to appoint their own man and Barton's results at this level for us have been abysmal. A slight concern is because of Barton's influence the club will probably need restructuring from top to bottom as he installed all his mates in key roles, from the Head of Football Operations Eddy Jennings, the chief scout Chris Spendlove, to the medical department staff.

Really surprised by this. Thought he would get time. I was hoping he would get time, but it was thrown out of court.....

all this lot that wanted him gone will come back to bite them on the ass, we will get another Tisdale or Garner now, Barton would have got it sorted, I'm gutted and don't want to go on Saturday now, really gutted Commiserations mate.
Can always follow your Joey messiah to the next club he drags through the dirt?
That's if there's another club that will take him on.
Forgot the promotion celebrations then?

Some of us knew it was on the cards, it was indefensible in the end and it’s why some of his Maga Barton Trump supporters went to ground Tuesday night.
Points per game, horrific use of the budget, personally abusing an opposition manager reference his body, good riddance to him………..he tells the world on Twitter he’s loaded, tweets pictures of his watch, no sympathy at all.

No need for that comment really is there. Emotions are running high and some are feeling disappointed/upset that he has left. Just because you wanted him gone and are now happy dosent mean others are.

disappointed that he failed to push us on and but his pre & post match press conferences were becoming bizarre and embarrassing and he was his own worst enemy.
Thanks for the promotion season, but we are no better off league position wise in his 3 years in charge so the decision is understandable.
No idea who I would like to fill the post, hopefully whoever it is will bring the fan base together and bring the best out of what I believe is a strong squad.

Just heard and must admit I'm shocked. Based on results I don't think he can really have too many complaints but I genuinely thought he'd be given the next 3 or 4 games at least. He seemed bullet proof under Wael so can only assume the new regime have pushed the decision, calling Evans a fat weeble live on Radio Bristol might not have helped his case either. Cue the constant checking of the next Rovers managers odds and speculation of who has been spotted at the Quarters or sat in the stand on Saturday !!

Best news for a long time. This man has been a waste of space wherever we had been as a player and manager. At last we have someone to stand up against a loudmouth who has dragged the good name of this great club through the mud for the last time. The man is a thug, a bully and a loudmouth who always blames everyone else before looking in the mirror. Loudmouth and looking in mirror. Hmmm…people in glass houses and all that.

I'm very surprised and very disappointed. I believe he would have turned the tide. I hope the club don't live to regret this, the wrong appointment could lead to disaster this season. I hope this proves to be a real statement of intent and not a total bottle job. all this lot that wanted him gone will come back to bite them on the ass, we will get another Tisdale or Garner now, Barton would have got it sorted, I'm gutted and don't want to go on Saturday now, really gutted Guess you’ll never be proved wrong now but nothing suggests you would have been right either. So why should the owners put up with the baggage. Hope we find someone that can use the backing to really take us places. Won’t miss having to excuse our manager to other football (and non football) fans now.
