Ha, the Barton cult are going to be crying for months if this is anything to go by!!  Maybe try being magnanimous in victory, rather than prolong the divide? At the end of the day everybody is a Gashead. Oh, so now 'Everyone's a Gashead' and not '**** off down Ashton gate if you don't like it'   |

You, myself and a lot of others do -- But guess what as soon as some don't like a certain something such as the current manager, board or the style of kit we play in. They STOP going. I'll be back. I've hopefully been friends with everyone and haven't resorted to trading insults, but I made a personal choice when JB was appointed. I tried a few times to come but my heart wasn't in it.
Im not happy we've been struggling of late, but glad of the change. Fingers crossed for the rest of the season and beyond.
East Terrace on Saturday, how are the pasties ?

I didn't want Barton gone as I thought we would have come good under him. I'm someone who can detach the person from the job they're doing so it didn't really bother me who he was. However now he's gone he's gone and the most important thing is the success of Bristol rovers. Let's hope whomever comes in can take this team on to a higher level.

Now that those who abstained from attending Rovers games because of the manager, have their collective wish...Will they all be back on Saturday? At least it should stop unnecessary rows on here from folk with big mouths (guilty) getting wound up. I bet the "Alternative" forum (bar honourable exceptions) are wringing their hands in delight. The problem for many is that football becomes habit and ritual and when you stop doing something, even something you loved it cab be hard to just pick back up from where you left off. I haven't had a ST since the GC season and have found other things to do with a Saturday, even taking in a few Bath games because it's a few miles down the road. Not you, but some of the posts on the Barton threads are frankly unpleasant, suggesting returning fans are not welcome. Many people take a break from regular football for all sorts of reasons, be it financial, family, work or a personal dislike for a manager. Any fan that shows up for a game should be welcomed not ridiculed. For as much as the stay away fans like me are reviled by some, at no point can I recall slagging of any fan who chose to attend during Bartons reign. |

I've been on Rovers forums for a long time. Many of the voices pro and anti Barton, I have a tremendous amount of respect for.
Some of the people who didn't like Barton I know for a fact have stuck with the club through thick and thin. Through relegations, unlikeable managers and bad teams.
You're always going to get a few fickle or petulant people in the world but I genuinely believe many of the Anti-Barton crowd like me, formed their opinions based on valid reasons.
We never stopped supporting the club and will get behind whoever is next in charge.
