Need someone proven at the higher end of this level. Another Garner type appointment and I’ll be fuming. Cotteril fits that mould he’s won a promotion from this league but I really hope we don’t get him in. Can’t stand him. I’m hoping we’re looking for someone abit more progressive than Cotteril with his negative tactics. |

Lets get one in with waels Chelsea connections (Terry, Lampard, Parker, Makelele). Terry has to move into management at some stage. As passionate as Joey, which is what a lot of fans liked. He was always a good leader and played a lot higher than Joey. I think he wants to start higher than League 1, but at some stage, he's going to have to accept something. He will have good links in the game and will know all about Vale. |

I’ll be gobsmacked if the club have interviewed anyone at all today, in fact I’ll be amazed if anyone is in post by the end of next week.

We are just mere supporters of the club we can not not influence the board on the next manager.
It's just a case of suck and see.
Whilst Joey was not everyone's come of tea I do think he was let go to soon

Not too impressed with the names being mentioned so far, I think I rather let Mangan / Whelan have a go, both seem popular with the players & keep some sort of continuity at the club, rather than a new broom who will want to make a clean sweep & cause a lot.of uncertainty & upheaval.

If interviews are taking place today that suggests they were arranged well in advance of Joey being sacked. As regards those mentioned , no thanks.
