I can't see why Eustice would even consider the Rovers job, when he's proven he can manage in the Championship. Eustace is hardly proven at Championship level though, only managed for 63 games at Birmingham (33.3% win rate) and 7 as caretaker at QPR (28.5% win rate), otherwise 103 games at Kidderminster in the National League (53.4% win rate) So far this season he's proven he can manage a damn sight better than Rooney with his 3 games/3 defeats record. Anyway he's got no record whatsoever of managing in L1, so doesn't tick the getting promoted box the new owners are apparently looking to tick.

He might be heading to Bristol tbf, just not the right side for us.

No way Kevin Maher will get mentioned but has achieved a minor miracle at Southend. He and his players have often not been paid, had a large points deduction at the start of the season, fan unrest, only has a 15 man squad, with some of the younger coaches being forced back into getting registered as players so they can sit in the bench for emergencies, had to sell a potential star teenager, and now sit in mid table. Gillingham fans say they have approached Southend for Kevin but they turned Gillingham down and wouldn’t let them speak to him. I presume for the same reasons you’ve mentioned, he’s done a great job there. UTG!

Decent manager and nice bloke wanted? Err...Mr N Pearson? UTFG 🏴☠️ Absolutely … I sense his health issues are his priority first though and rightly so. Seriously good manager and nice bloke - excellent tactician as well. What a coup that could be … Not sure if he is living in Bristol though … Still think Gary Monk is favourite …

Realistic Gary Monk Leam Richardson Paul Warne Karl Robinson
Gareth Ainsworth Dean Holden Steve Cotterill
Unlikely Nathan Jones Nigel Pearson John Eustace
No Chance Chris Wilder Gary Rowett
Wouldn't want Ainsworth, Cotterill or Holden so I've crossed them out.
I'd be happy with any of the 'Unlikely' managers, or those we probably have 'No Chance' of attracting.
Of the realistic options, Monk probably is the best pick but I'd be okay with Richardson.

Maybe the best thing for our club to do is interview the two City turn down from that list ( praying Nathan Jones ) is not one of them . At least we will save on the petrol costs.

Think we'll get Monk in before next League game. Be pleased with that TBH.

I don't know why so many people are like this about Nathan Jones. Clearly don't remember Luton absolutely ripping us apart in L1 under him. They played excellent stuff. Massively 9verachieved at Luton. Be careful what you wish for.

Chris Wilder would be a good appointment if he would come to Rovers?

Decent manager and nice bloke wanted? Err...Mr N Pearson? UTFG 🏴☠️ I think him actually being afforded time off now will rule him out, he's had back problems and been on crutches at a fair few games. Dare I say it we're not the most alluring project at the moment either.
