Kenny Jackett Darren Ferguesson Might be names on a list. Darren Ferguson is an excellent league one manager. Record speaks for itself.

Given he's out of work then he's probably applying for every job which comes up, it looks like he messed up his CV by attempting to turn Charlton around, whether he'll go on to prove he's a good manager or one season wonder his anybody's guess. It does make you wonder about our new owners if they are interviewing an ex City manager, as that's usually the last person Rovers fans want employed as their manager.

If Holden is given the job. I will not be attending any more matches. I feel that badly about this. Question, Do you cheer when Hunt or Martin score? To be honest it’s not the City connection that puts me off him. It’s the fact I don’t think he’s a great manager and definitely not what we need currently.

If we're presently interviewing the likes of Holden then can you really see the BoD head hunting Fergie? I'd imagine he's more than happy being back at Posh anyway.

Holden had the same win rate with charlton as Barton had with rovers which was deemed not good enough. He would of also had a bigger budget to work with. I don't care about him being ex ted or not if we want an upgrade on Barton his performance as Charlton manager doesn't show that so Next candidate please. Thank you, you have hit the nail on the head with “if we want an upgrade on Barton” I can’t help feeling that we are in a bit of a predicament about attracting a really good Manager or someone just looking for a job. I really hope we start with an identity with the next manager, what that identity looks like I don’t know. But we are missing something that the next one needs to start with imo.

Just stating I think he's an excellent league one manager.

But didn't Cotterill get City promoted from Lg 1 with 100 points? He obviously knows something about winning football matches! He was backed by the board and delivered. Any manager will struggle with poor squads, where the emphasis is on NOT losing, and trying to grind out wins for survival.

Cotterell or Holden and they can have my season ticket back. Sooner see garnerball again. Is that cause of the city link? It contributes but I'd have Pearson weirdly. Holden was assistant to Lee when the sh** were particularly slimey. They also spent serious dough and didn't dent the league. The post match interviews lacked energy. Cotterill- more than the city connection but again doesn't work for me.

Must’ve entered the twilight zone.
Gas wanting a manager direct from C*ty who’s got a knackered spine, hobbling round on crutches & waiting some news on some kind of neurological condition.
Really😂🫣

Yes but, at the risk of invoking the ire of the Barton haters, Cotterill’s an arrogant prat. I’ve never liked him. His playing the victim over mean words last time at the mem, after his team served up the most disgraceful display of cheating and time wasting I’ve ever seen at a football match really did seal his fate in my eyes as a w*****r.

Julio Arca catching the eye with his first management role after a decade or more in academy coaching. In South Shields first ever season at National League North level Arca has a 47.1% win percentage guiding the team to 3rd in the table currently with 26 points from 15 games (28 goals scored, 17 conceded).
After 355 appearances in professional football and then winning six trophies, three promotions and making 120 appearances in non-league, I'm sure he will have learnt a thing or two along the way working with the likes of José Néstor Pekerman, Tony Mowbray, Mick McCarthy, Gordon Strachan, Peter Reid, Howard Wilkinson and Gareth Southgate.
"I pick up good things and bad things from all managers I've worked with. There's always good and bad things. They do it in different ways and you learn from that" Arca said recently.

Is it likely the potential new man will be at the Mem tonight?
Low key, so can have a look at some of the future stars in the youth team, while having a look around the stadium.
Should anyone cast an eye on box one?

Didn’t Cotterill call us Rag-Arse Rovers in a post match interview? He can f*ck right off.

What about Will Still (Reims - I think?). Pulling up trees, but doesn't have a UEFA A licence, but that doesn't matter in League 1 or Championship. That would certainly be a sign of intent.
