Cotterell or Holden and they can have my season ticket back. Sooner see garnerball again. Cotterill would be a huge slap in the face for the fans - total twat and his football is tripe. Holden is a nice bloke but would seriously confirm our new ownership are clueless about the footie side of the business. Pivotal moment for the club and I have so little confidence in the Senior Leadership team to get this right. Not sure we know anything about the senior management team to really draw any conclusions one way or the other at present? The decision to dismiss JB seems a sensible one to have taken so they appear to have got that decision right. The decision to redevelop the Mem should have really been taken years ago by one of the former owners, so that's another correct decision. As things stand their decision making seems preferable to Wael's. |

What an absolute waste of time interviewing people for the sake of it. Unfair on the candidate and a waste of the interviewers time. Disagree you ask them what they make of the players we have, and performances, and who they would scout in January, what they would do with the team, knowledge is power, waste of time for them not for us. |

If his win rate at the sh** was 44% that ain’t bad and Charlton are a total basket case so I wouldn’t read to much in to that. Not disagreeing just interested , I don’t know much about him. |

Not disagreeing just interested , I don’t know much about him. when we played at Charlton earlier in the season i thought that they looked quite a good side. They suffered because that only had Alfie May up front on his own because of injuries and at 5ft 7 inches he is no target man. |

As someone said earlier 44% win rate is the same as Coughlans win rate with us and considering he took us from bottom to mid table in half a season then to 4th the following season then that really isn’t too bad. Anyone know why he was sacked by 82ers with that kind of record other than the obvious “ because theyve got a naive sense of grandeur and think they belong in the Premier league the stupid knuckle dragging Sh|theads “ Which of course I already know and agree with. |

Not being ITK I’ve not got a scooby doo as to who we will appoint. I think we look at managers with a strong coaching background even if that goes against what our owner indicated. It may even be someone we don’t know very well. I hope it won’t be Cotterill just because I think his football would be rubbish and going on his Shrewsbury stint his football will bore me to death and we’ll not win many matches.
But who knows, we may be just the right fit for people like the Cowleys, who’ve done well wherever they’ve been (even Pompey imo). Play direct football perhaps but they’ve done well in League 1 and helped Huddersfield survive in the Championship when it had looked impossible. They tick a few of the owners boxes.
And Gerry Francis is living proof that past records (at Exeter) are never necessarily a good indication of future success. So I’m sure there will be managers out there who may just fit in with us. Never any guarantees with any appointments. And Mangan and Whelan etc. have done ok in the matches they’ve be in charge of so why not give them some games to see how they do? (Obviously if they want to do it.)

Think he got the boot after they lost 5 games in a row but they were 13th and 7 points off the play-offs so not like they were in the relegation zone. Looking at it they had a hell of an injury crisis (where have we heard this before) which seemed to contribute to it. Don't really want him but I do feel the hate for him is because of his connections with City which at the end of the day I couldn't give a toss about. His next job is important for him as it will probably mean whether he stays as a manager or goes back to just being a coach. |

Holden had the same win rate with charlton as Barton had with rovers which was deemed not good enough.
He would of also had a bigger budget to work with.
I don't care about him being ex ted or not if we want an upgrade on Barton his performance as Charlton manager doesn't show that so Next candidate please.
