Gary Monk in hospitality today … The radio Bristol interview with the owner basically described Garry Monk and outlined the kind of ambition that Barton spoke of but had no experience of as a manager. Hopefully that will put paid to any talk of Ollie, DC, Cotterill, Holden etc I’d be happy with that appointment, I think, though his post Jack record isn’t brilliant. He’ll be a man with a point to prove you’d hope! |

Only thing makes me unsure is where he says he has got teams out of league one where he hasn't but if Monk was at the game today must mean he is keen but if you have applied its only natural you will wanna watch that team in action. Be interesting if anymore out of work managers were there today. |

I can 100% tell you he wasn’t in with the owners/directors today. Sat next to them all and it was just them and the injured/suspended players.
I did spend some time admiring Ryan Woods Rolex Daytona though. Very nice.

You’ve got to love how this stuff comes out everytime there’s a managers job To be fair he didn't at what clubs "hospitality" 🤣🤣 Would have thought had he been there today a few more would have noticed it and it would have been all over twitter. By all accounts it sounds like the story that he had been mentioned from Twitter funnily enough that he was mentioned on ITV might not have been true as the BEP reporter actually asked the guy if he heard personally the story that we were in talks with him and the reply was that he heard it from another person. Can bet your savings that if someone on twitter posts that they had just seen not a silly name but someone say like a Danny Cowley in the car park and then it gets re-tweeted a few times within a couple of hours loads will be tweeting "Danny Cowley Blue and White army" and he will have shout up in the market 🤣🤣 |

I do wish the super fans would be a little more sympathetic to the casuals. Pretty sure GGMI was a long time ST holder who has recently started a new family. Not everyone is able to get to every game for a lot of different reasons. Would be lovely if we could stop attacking one another for a bit. This is spot on. Nothing to do with Joey Barton why I stopped going. I love Rovers but you can be so caught in it sometimes that you forget there is a life outside of the club we all love. I made the conscious decision to give up my season ticket 4 years ago when having my first born. (I have another since). I live the other side of Bristol, and wanted to make sure I invest as much energy, time and effort into my children as possible so they can be the best they can be. I still watch on ifollow etc and do want to get to a game soon but if I can't then so be it. Bristol Rovers will always be a part of my life, but they are just that now, a part. Don't worry my girls will be brought up the right way to be Gasheads, I don't think they will quite reach the elite super status but they will be fans. Maybe one day I will get a season ticket again but I can't see it in the near future. Some of the best investments I’ve made in the last decade, 81 has a nice collection as well. And this isn’t bragging, people invest in property, lots of things, if Woods purchased that at a retail brand new price, he’s made £20k plus on that and even more. |
