Disagreement in the section I stand in today that hopefully can be cleared up here. Does Collins get credited with an assist for winning the penalty?

No. In Fantasy Premier League, this would count as an assist - known as a 'fantasy' assist. Same with winning a free kick that is then directly scored etc. But I believe in terms of Opta/"proper" statistics, this would not count. I think that winning a penalty/free kick directly scored should count though because the goal does not come without the 'assist'. |

Also the stop where the #6 was all on his own and blasted it at him, how they didn’t equalise there is anyone’s guess. A fine save to turn it away but that was way too easy from one ball forward. |
