I would like to say “thank you” . . .

To the bloke that was standing behind myself and my kids on the East terrace yesterday; my little girl (11) had contrived to leave her gloves in the car and was suffering from very cold wet hands. I was trying to rub her hands to warm them up without a lot of success, when this chap behind us noticed what was going on and very kindly gave her a pair of fleecy gloves to wear until the end of the game (I think they belonged to his wife/mum/ mother-in-law and he had them in his jacket pocket). It was a lovely gesture and perfectly illustrated to my kids how we are all one big family as Gasheads - for context, my kids are both adopted and due to the trauma they both experienced as babies/toddlers, both have a deep-seated mistrust of pretty much all adults. If anybody knows the chap, tell him that I will stand him a drink (or pasty, pie, whatever) at the next game to show my appreciation.
