Steve Evans is a fat guy who always moans at Referees though. For all Barton's mishaps, he's spot on with that one. And you think it is right to negatively call someone out on their weight - a medical issue - in public? As a leader of our club, no less. Football fans all over the country at games and on forums have been calling him fat for years and include this and previous Rovers forums in that group. At the end of the day Steve Evans loves all the attention, it’s like water off a ducks back to him. |

I agree wholeheartedly about the descriptions of that rag, the Sun. But in reality that is just a deflection from the points made about Barton. They are all true are they not? So I ask again, what on earth possessed the owners of the club to allow such a person be associated with us. Given the points made, what on earth possessed people to start a petition to reinstate him. Good riddance. He’s gone - let it go ! 🤫 💙utg Oh I have Purdown. I would hazard a guess that Barton’s actions have been discussed many more times on here than any other manager in our history. I have not read the article and never will. Still don’t understand why anyone would click on a Sun article. I accept that However it does bring in to sharp relief the management of the club, by our executive. Also, as importantly, the adulation of such a man expressed by so many of our fan base. Even on this thread, a female fan says she misses him already. |

No idea what your first sentence means. Second sentence - I thought you were eluding to Barton; fair enough. 4 months of a player in return for years of dragging the clubs name through the mud. If you are going to have morals about a football manager then you should also have those morals about your own organisation. It's just a cheap hatchet job. |

And what can cause lifestyle / diet problems? How far do we take your logic? You could say most mental health problems are caused by people not being mindful and taking steps to care for their mental well-being. But supposedly you would agree that would be a harsh position to take. What's so wrong with having some compassion and not publicly calling people out for their weight? |

Future star comment reminds me of Barton and his one England cap whilst I thought Jenas was bang average for England and he got 30 odd. Let’s see what Anderson does in his career first, if he gets anywhere near Abraham’s CV he will have done well. |

He’s a guy who moans at referees, no different to Alex Ferguson, Mourinho and Barton. Why reference his appearance? One of my friends who is a Gashead is overweight, salt of the earth bloke. He’s been told about his blood pressure, trying his best to watch his weight, actually many on here know him, he’s a big character around the club. |
