Listened last night and was a good balanced run down on the whole saga I thought. Tended to agree with Harley on a lot of points and I did like Joe as a manager, but am glad in a way to see him leave us and hoping now for a fanbase uniting appointment to build on the foundations Joe has laid!
Personally, if it goes well and their up for it, Mangan and Whelan for me.

Jennings will likely go now, along with the staff that he allegedly paid himself. We’ve seen 0 progress with the academy during his time. The chief scout was his mate, what’s the situation with him now? Granted he’s left behind a decent first team which is front of house stuff rather than foundations imo. My hope is that the new ownership model are serious about club staff rather than manager staff and are going to build a more sustainable club rather than it all being built around one man.

A manager will always want some of his own staff. I can understand wanting a right hand man and a coach, but the operations and infrastucture side of the club should be pretty stable. The comment from the Mr AlSaeed was pretty telling Not a chance Jennings will be hanging around. He has zero reason to be here without Barton. Spendlove will probably disappear as well. If Mangan doesn't get the job, then him and Ventre will be gone. No idea what other people are here behind the scenes. Whelan is a bit more of an interesting one.

I get the impression that Whelan is his own man, I'd like him to stay on in some sort of coaching capacity.

Enjoyed that. Good balance despite Har being out numbered 3-1. 🤣.
Whilst I will admit I can’t stand Barton, I think there is some merit in the fact he was trying to get us playing a style of football that will suit further up the pyramid. I respect him for trying that.
However, without high levels of success to hide behind his mouth and sheer stupidity was always going to get the better of him. As much as they are saying that didn’t come into it, it did for sure. End of October is always (in my mind) the first review point of the season. Based on the facts - unrivalled backing and a good number of games behind him, he’s just not done well enough. He’ll know that. I’m surprised he didn’t get until Christmas TBH.
In terms of the future, well, he’s kicked a few people out, got his own mates in and that has made a difference for sure. Unfortunately they will no doubt move to the next club Barton ends up at, I don’t think he’s laid a big foundation for the club.
What is critical now, is that the club push forward with the manager / back room infrastructure split and ensure the next appointment is a name the fans can get behind. And offer a vision to us.
