Just out of interest, why not? He has a better record at our level than any other manager we are linked with. Arguably it's outstanding. Obviously there is the City link but other than that, why not? Outstanding in his field….. scarecrow |

Walked down the line, pointed at each one of them and called them a C***? Also, many years ago I heard we were interested in appointing him. Holloway rang up Dunford and advised him not to entertain that idea. (Note: I'm not ITK, it could just be gossip 🤷♂️) I find him a totally abhorrent and repugnant man.

Not got an issue with his Ragbag Rovers comment. Was probably said for a reaction from us and a smile from the Teds. The fact it's still being discussed proves the intention worked.
My issue is he's crap, negative and according to to a couple of Shrewsbury fans who live in our neck of the woods he left them in a poor state

I couldn’t stand the football style, it’s not real football it’s vile. That Shrewsbury game was horrendous I’ve never hated a rovers game so much. I’d rather we lost to some good goals than watch that dross ever again!

He'd instantly take 2000 off the home attendance. I could never really understand the drop in attendance for a successful team under Coughlan, but I could under Cotterill. He'd start unpopular and it would only get worse.

I know someone who played for him recently and he said he was a top chap and creates a siege mentality, the world is against us type scenario. At Shrewsbury he had issues with the board and a lot of miscommunication and lack of clarity on ambition and budget. They had a small squad and a lot of injuries when they played us and did what they had to do to scrape a result.
However, he was awful with the local press and really antagonistic, completely without reason it seems. I think he did a JB and refused to talk to them. The interviews were toe curling cringe.
Ted’s love him and did a good job there but been indifferent since. Wouldn’t be gutted if he joined but not one I’d be desperate to get through the door!

They do want to be entertained as well as leave the goal happy after picking up 3pts. JB had the right idea, unfortunately he didn't have the ability to execute it. |
