Sorry for evoking the ghosts of Joseph Stalin or Mao Zedong comrades but I really like this piece published by Plymouth Argyle stating their intentions for the next 5 years ahead.
I think it gives the club a sense of direction and a barometer of progress. I'd like to see Rovers do something similar.
So Gasheads can understand what the club wants achieve, the direction we're headed and what we can do to support it as a fanbase.
There's been lots of discussion on here about transparency and what the new owners intentions are for the club.
I know TG writes a good piece for the programme and Hussain spoke well on RB the other day.
With Phase 2 of the Quarters and the redevelopment of the mem, as well as the ongoing professionalisation of the club. It strikes me that we could have a lot of goals to strive towards.
Category 2 academy, 10,000+ average attendance, improved supporters facilities, Championship football. For example.
Fans forum feedback is always important for things like this as well.

We already have a plan. Improve the Quarters , move academy there ,have public available facilities there. Rebuild 3 sides of the Mem. Get results appropriate to the money invested in the squad. Have 'Rovers' staff and not staff attached to a manager.

Most of these strategy type plans are the same and are just a way of consultants earning a fortune for regurgitating the same stuff over and over again. All you need to do is delete the name Plymouth Argyle and insert Bristol Rovers and then tweak various geographical bits - hey presto you have a 5 year plan !!

Didn't Bury have a 5 year plan? I doubt Derby, Wigan and Reading planned on being L1 sides?

It is standard business practice to have a 5 year plan. Likewise for business owners to have a ROI and exit strategy. Temporary stands to increase capacity and investment into the team for quick promotion to the Championship would seem to be the short-term plan. Investment in the training facilities may reduce overheads, provide new income streams and help to attract players of Championship quality.
