To my mind, he has conducted himself with exemplary manners, dignity and professionalism since his pal was sacked. (If only Joey could have learnt from him eh?)
Anyway, whatever happens down the line, Andy should have no problem getting another coaching or managerial role and he deserves every credit.
Have said it before, I'd be tempted to give Glenn Whelan the role with Mr Mangan as coach, if he wanted that position.
UTFG and good luck AM. 🏴☠️

He won’t get a much easier run of games if he does want the job…. All the next 5 are easily winnable. Wouldn’t be against him getting the job but he has to change things up a bit from what Barton was giving us as that just didn’t work . As I said a few weeks ago , get the ball forward a bit quicker and cut out some of those needless ( dangerous) passes at the back . Players seem to like him which is half the battle .

Get tomorrow done and dusted and 3 points on Tuesday night I could certainly warm to the above!

Personally, Mangan is my third choice (behind Monk then Robinson) but the fact he knows the players, he knows the club, I would be tempted to give me the gig full time potentially.

The problem is he is, as coach/deputy manager, intrinsically linked to the under performance of the last 12 months. Imagine the interview. "Well Andy, as you know we decided to make a change because we could not see how we were going to have our objectives met with Mr Barton. What do you think went wrong and how would you, as manager, change things?" Would love to hear that answer.

He has also proven in his first game that he simply isn’t following on from Barton’s blueprint tactics.
He went 442, played Vale as an out and out winger, gave Martin a foil in Collins up front but still played good football.
Would I want him as manager? I’m not sure. We could end up in just a new manager bounce where the assistant takes over.
What it does afford us is the opportunity to take our time.

Comes across well. He has a lot of backing. I definitely would be disappointed if we appointed him now though. I think let's see how these 3 fixtures go next week as I do think it was a poor team we beat last week in Northampton. Give a bit of time and we will see.

If they want it that is. We’ve had 7 promotions Bert Tann had stepped up as secretary to become manager, Don Megson from coach to manager, Trolls likewise, and DC stepped up for two promotions from Wards assistant. Only Gerry F and JB delivered promotion after being appointed ‘new’ to the club. Now we’re not going to go up this season but give them a chance to use this squad and move up the table. After seeing some of those mentioned I’m sure it could be a better option short term. UTG!

Big lump up front who can win flick ons ( Martin is very good at this for his height but he just has the body strength to win those battles), a player with pace playing on the shoulder of the last defender. Vale taking on the fullback and trying to get to the byline rather than Sinclair etc just keeping possession.

Northampton are in the pretty bad form and I thought the second half against them was pretty poor. If he does get to manage a few games then he has got to show what he can do. My feeling is a no.

I would answer that - "Well you know that Joe is a great mate of mine and i admire him as a coach but we all know that he can be a little headstrong at times and once he makes his mind up then he sticks with it. I may not bring you the profile of JB but i like to think of myself as more of a team player -level headed and willing to listen to the advice of others who see the game in a different way. That is why the first part of the process is to bring Kevin Bond back and any Bristol Rovers team that i manage will be flexible and adapt to the circumstances of any particular game."

Did he leave after a player to come back as a manager ?only Barton has been a promotion manager without any previous connection to the club
